Hired in person. Answered in person.

We run DaniVanLife ourselves, from the keys in your hand to the message at midnight when you can't find the gas switch. No call-centre, no booking portal between you and the people who know the van.

We're based in Hull and we know the north well, from the Ribblehead Viaduct at sunrise to the back road into Applecross. Ask us where to park up for the night; chances are we've already been there.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Where is the van collected from?
Pickup and drop-off are from 18 Ena St, Hull HU3 2TG. There is parking on site, and the M62 is five minutes away, so you're on the road quickly.
What licence do I need?
A standard UK or EU car licence is enough. No HGV or C1 category required. Drivers must be aged 25 or over with at least two years' licence-held and a clean recent history.
How do I get a quote?
Text us on WhatsApp with your intended dates and a rough idea of where you're heading: a weekend getaway, a week in the Dales, a fortnight up to Scotland, or anything in between. We reply personally, usually within the hour, with a tailored quote.
Is there a mileage limit?
A fair daily mileage allowance is included, pooled across the hire. Long-distance trips to Scotland, Wales or the North Coast 500 are genuinely welcome; just share the plan and we'll size the allowance to the trip.
What about insurance and deposit?
A fully-refundable deposit is taken before pickup to cover the van's excess. Comprehensive insurance is included for drivers 25+ with the licence history above. A damage waiver is available to reduce the excess.
Can I bring my dog?
Absolutely. The van is dog-friendly at no extra charge, provided the van comes back in the condition it left in. Bring a blanket for the bed.
What's included in the van?
Bedding, towels, a full cookware and cutlery set, washing-up essentials, EU plug adapters, picnic chairs, an awning, and a hand-written guide to our favourite parking-up spots.
What happens if the van breaks down?
24/7 breakdown cover across the UK is included. Our number is also on the dashboard, and a real person answers when you call.

Ready when you are

Where will you go?

Tell us roughly when, and roughly where. We send a proper answer back, usually inside the hour.
